If you've got questions before calling, you're not alone. Here are the ones we hear most.
It matters, and it's worth understanding the difference. FAA Part 107 is the standard commercial drone pilot certificate — it covers a broad range of commercial drone work but does not specifically authorize aerial pesticide application. FAA Part 137 (and the equivalent Section 44807 certification) is the federal authorization specifically required for commercial pesticide application from the air. A state commercial pesticide applicator license is also required in each state where work is performed. These certifications reflect real training in equipment standards, application protocols, and operational safety — not just the ability to fly a drone. Ager Aero is actively pursuing Part 137 and will not conduct commercial spray operations until it is in hand.
